The Rising Star Tavern is not a roleplaying scenario, but a roleplaying location. The Tavern doesn't reside in any particular timeline, meaning that any character can enter the tavern freely. When you feel like a quick shot of roleplaying and character interaction, enter the tavern. When you're done, exit the tavern. Simple, no? Of course, you're not just restricted to inside the Tavern. Feel free to play your characters at the lake near the tavern, the nearby forest...and any other place you players can dream up really. I'll moderate the Tavern if I have to but it's a completely player-driven thing. All ideas and help are welcome.

This is not a sign-up thread. There is no sign-up required, you don't need to post a bio, and you don't need my approval or invitation. The Tavern is public and open to all.

Tavern Rules-A few basic guidelines before you run off.
-Please follow all standard roleplaying rules. No god-moding or C&E. Let's keep the Tavern a fun place for all players.

-Try not to enter the Tavern unless you plan to be pretty active for the duration of your character's stay. It won't really work if posts are days apart.

-Please put the name of your character at the top of your post.

-If there are lots of characters and they're in different locations, specify where your character is at the top of your post. (i.e. "The Tavern", or "The Lake."

- What happens in the Tavern stays in the Tavern. Since it has its own timeline, your characters can't take items out of the tavern or anything like that. And if your char "dies" in the Tavern, that character is still very much alive and can be used in other RP's.

Help Wanted-For those wanting to play a bartender or the like.
Want to play a bartender or a waitress? Super! A real player is definitely better than a generic NPC. All you need to do is contact me through any method and tell me you want to play a character that works for the Tavern so all us tavern staff are communicating. You don't need my approval though.

I was wondering, even though there are no cross-overs into other worlds per say, can your character remember things from the world/place he/she's originally from? I'd say yes, but I just want to make sure.

Yeah, totally. In fact, if you were so inclined, you could bring in a past version of your character.

Finally posted. Played Rethel for like 2 days before the RP died, and I've been longing to bring him back. It'll be interesting to see how a tragic character like him will react to this idyllic tavern world.

So, the RP section is showing signs of life again. I was thinking of reviving the ol' Tavern, since I still think it's a good idea. I mean, I myself have characters I'd like to test in a quick session before using them in a serious storyline. So, I thought I'd just kinda start the Tavern over since I'm pretty sure SacredSilence doesn't really come around anymore. Black, if you still wanted to play Rethel I could start with the understanding that he was already employed at the tavern.
