Here is some of my latest avatar/icon work over the past... three or so hours. I made them inbetween working on music as a way to gear up some inspiration or something. Hope you like 'em. There shall be more to come. I have some additional little "fun facts" in the photo album where I uploaded them, so check there if you want to see the inspiration behind the work or... whatever. Lol.

Also, in the event that these images get BORKED! for whatever reasons, try refreshing the page to see them. If not, let me know, and I'll host them on tinypic or photobucket or somethin'.

Well, I am pretty experienced with Photoshop. I've been fiddling around with it for years, actually. It's just that I had stopped for a while, and my design style had become a little outdated—banners and avatars a couple years ago relied heavily on grunge and vector brushes. Today? Not so much. xD

But I'm not really good, to be honest. I'm something of a copycat. I pretty much took my smudging techniques from Casanova, and incorporated some of the lighting and text effects that Mellusia uses. With enough practice, though, I'll break into my own style again.

Also, it took me a half-hour to finish that Tifa icon, man. I wanted the text to look a certain way, and searched high and low for that little heart I used for the "O."

The Sephiroth avatar is just a tad obscured on the face, but still very nice. I love the subtle colours on the bottom :3

Thank ya! I tried using an eraser tool to uncover a bit of his face, but I didn't want to take too much away from the effect. Also, those colors at the bottom were purely unintentional. LOL.

Basically, all of the text are short little rants about the characters. Like, in some of the avatars I praise the characters, or pan them into oblivion. xD
