Favorite Anime Characters

After going through all eight pages, I was disappointed to learn there was no favorite character thread. Clearly, be careful about using spoiler tags when necessary. But, who are your favorite anime characters? Top five, top ten, maybe even top fifty. Throw it down here.

10. Ein (from Cowboy Bebop. Woof)
9. Nice (from Baccano! Her character just appeals to me)
8. Takeda Ikki (from Kenichi. THE LETHAL LEFT, trololo)
7. Rico (Gunslinger Girl)
6. Ryuk (from Death Note. Without the Shinagami in this show, it wouldn't have been half as good)
5. Maes Hughes (from FMA, ofc)
4. November 11 (from Darker Than Black. Seriously, one of the greatest characters of all time)
3. Isaac Dian (from Baccano! His talking about the centipede god is hilarious)
2. Meryl Strife (from Trigun)
1. Lupin III (from Lupin III; noteworthy film is 'The Castle of Cagliostro', directed by Hayao Miyazaki).

I don't watch much anime and when I do I normally read the Manga first.

1) Raquel (Scrapped Princess, Love her carefree attitude)
2) Fai D. Flourite (Tsubasa, He is a mysterious fellow and his life story is depressing. He grew on me)
3) Yomiko Readman (R.O.D, She's just so cute!)
4) Franken Stein (Soul Eater, He is crazy and wonderful.)
5) Chihiro (Spirited Away, I don't think this needs an explanation)
6) Henry Marker (Karin, Only there for comic relief)
7) Misuzu (Air, T^T)
8) Horo (Spice and wolf, Stuck up and just doesn't care. I wanted to hate her but i'm quite fond of her)
9) Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin)
10) Yuuko (XXXholic)

I'm sure I could think of characters I love even more than these but this is what I can think of right now.
