Are you getting the flu shot this year?

I actually have opted out of getting my flu shot for the past few years. Not because I'm against them; I'm just lazy and never seem to find the time to go and get one. Plus while I've gotten the cold, I've been well enough to do my everyday stuff.

What about you guys?

I, like you, haven't gotten my flu shot for the past few years simply because I just haven't thought to. I also have not had the flu since I was about 10 yrs old, so I don't think I have much to worry about haha.

I take reasonably good care of myself, by taking antioxidants, regulating a healthy homeostasis with vitamins, minerals, and alcohol. Lots of alcohol come to think of it. Oh dear...

Anyway, I haven't had an inoculation in two years; this doesn't mean you shouldn't get it, but I think my immune system is quite resilient due to diet and exercise, and shunning sick people with giant fly-swatters. I think a lot of life's problems can be solved by stress-reducing tools like giant fly-swatters and a healthy life-style. Unfortunately, not a lot of people can spare the time for it, nor do they have ways to mitigate the stress in their lives.

my family is mostly healthy all the time honestly. we rarely get sick.
last time i got a flu shot was back during the h1n1 scare, and i never got sick from it, but i did find out that shots also trigger a little thing i have where if i get super stressed about something i just crash as soon as i get a chance to relax. XD. nearly slammed headfirst into a corner of a counter. XD

Nope. I'm young and virulent. The flu isn't gonna kill me, and I'd rather my body doesn't rely on outside sources to protect it against viruses.

Wait, young and healthy people get flu shots over there? Over here only 'vulnerable people' (pregnant women [not the pregnant men, strangely enough], old people, people with chronic illnesses etc.) get flu shots. I never had a flu shot, ever. Only the shots protecting me against measles and shit when I was really really young. All I remember from those shots was that I couldn't get on my sweater because my right arm was almost completely paralysed.
