Like a lot of other games that have a lot of hype and critical acclaim behind them, I would suggest that once the game is in your possession, you lower your expectations a bit. Because while I think it's a fantastic series of games, it's really an acquired taste. If you enjoy Disney characters and love Final Fantasy just as much, it's the game for you.

If not, you'll just be wasting your time.

BbS seems like it's gonna have some impressive content in it. I'm seriously excited about the story and how the characters end up as they are, especially when 358/2 Days had a minor correlation to it when Xigbar faced off against Xion and we see her for some reason look like friggin' VENTUS in his armour gear and everything :O

Oh, and has a KH fan, do you think 358/2 is worth buying? I remember you or someone else on this forum talking about it, but I can't find the thread to see whether or not they recommended it or not.

I think if you just want to play a game with a story and you have a DS, you could buy it to have fun. It is a pretty fun game to play, if overly repetitive.

However, if you're a KH fan and have a DS, you damn well better play 358/2 Days!

I know people can look at it as "milking the series", but that's far from it. It's explains quite a lot about what happened during the year between KH1 and KH2 from Roxas' POV. What Riku was doing also get's touched upon a couple of times, so I think that's another plus point.

I think the main criticism I've seen is more so about Xion's presence in the game. However, she's placed relatively well in the game. A little spoiler-ish, but her importance only really get's revealed in the latter half - heck, I'd say the latter quarter really - in the game. But I tell you, it's pretty damn important, and if you're a softy that's become invested in the story like me, you'll get choked up T.T

Double post, but the last post was back in December

So Birth by Sleep is on it's way in September for the rest of the world, and at E3 Square-Enix announced Coded that was a Japan only mobile game to be a ported remake for the DS for the rest of the world (and I think possible Japan too) as "Re:Coded"

Honestly, I'm happy to see it come over. It maybe be a minor game, but it still has story importance, and damn it, I wanna know what it is without going on wiki with some crappy water-down run-down of events -_-

But to be fair, it's likely to have additional content in it. CoM, the GBA game, was remade for the PS2 as Re:CoM and clearly had far more content on that DVD disc than the GBA cartridge, so I can expect some decent amount of stuff...Hopefully >_>

Secondly, without sounding like a know it all, Nomura said be was announcing two new KH games at E3 we've known for ages that one of them is Re:coded and there's much speculation that the other is KH3. Also E3 hasn't happend yet. It's 15-17th of this month.

Also I love KH more than any other series.

He said 2 KH titles? I only remember in previous interviews Nomura said there would definitely be another KH game (singular) before KH3. And while Re:Coded was a nice addition (at last) for the rest of the world, I don't think he's talking about Re:Coded as the KH game to be made before KH3. Any previous talk of Coded coming outside of Japan was just conjecture and hints.

And true E3 hasn't happened just yet, but the companies register ahead of time what they're gonna show off, so it was only recently that Re:Coded was officially confirmed.

Although that's not to stop from surprise announcements xD

It's been said that Nomura will have a big major announcement for E3, but as much as I would love (LOVE T.T) for it to be KH3, I just really can't imagine it so soon. If it's KH related, I'd expect it to be the KH game before KH3 he talked about before.

Also I love KH more than any other series.

Okay, so after my disappointment, I'm excited for it now. Looking at the 3DS line-up, it'll warrant a purchase for me, so KH 3D will be in my future xD

To be honest, I really wasn't expecting KH3 so soon, but I had thought the big Nomura announcement would be something bigger than this handheld. "Revolutionary" handheld maybe, but I was hoping something that needed console support >.<

I love KH! <3 My favourite one so far is, surprisingly, Chain of Memories (more so than Re:CoM). I really enjoyed the story in that game, and it was fun to play as Riku. I felt that 358/2 Days was the worst of the series so far (excluding Coded, which I have yet to play), as it attempted to be a mission-based game with normal KH gameplay, but it got boring fast. I can't wait for BBS to come to America (although fans have already translated Aqua's path O.O), as it looks to be one of the better games in the series. Re:Coded looks alright, too, but I don't like the character portraits, as they are using PS2 models when they could be using actual art, which I'd prefer because Nomura's designs are great.

EDIT: Also, Nomura said that KH3D isn't KH 3. He also said it's a totally new game and the 3D stands for something (other than 3 dimension, of course...).

I'm actually hoping the final title for this "KH 3D" won't but just that. One of things I like about KH is that the "side" games have titles that are rather intriguing and make you think about what it'll mean in the game.

Chain of Memories, Coded, 358/2 Days, Birth by Sleep...

I really wonder what the "3D" game is suppose to be about. Judging by the character designs, I'd peg at as something that would happen before KH2, however Coded is a game that technically takes place after KH2, but plays through the KH1 story -er, sort of >_>

But yeah, I don't really know when the game should be taking place xD

Speaking of Coded, I feel bad about Re:Coded - it's been completely over shadowed by the 3D title. I really am looking forward to it. When the original Coded game was announced for mobile way back, I was so gutted. I was pissy about the lack of Final Mix+ coming over seas, but I thought as long as we get each game, I'd be good, so I was pretty angry for a while, but luckily it'll be coming on over for the DS ^^

You can always use XLink Kai. Even if you don't have a router, with CFW you can just use a USB cable for XLink Kai.

I haven't really utilized multiplayer in 358/2 Days, and I don't see myself doing it for BbS :/

Oh yeah, I ended up pre-ordering the BbS entertainment pack. I wanted a new PSP, so it seemed like a good fit.

But what I REALLY wanted was that collector's edition the UK get's. I love gaming art, and I'd love to have the BbS one Dx

I pre-ordered the bundle a few weeks ago. My PSP is worthless and I'm a huge Kingdom Hearts fan so it seemed like a good idea.

I love this game series and can still remember when I first got the game. I got it years ago when I got my PS2, and I fell in love with it. The storyline is captivating, and I felt as if I was connected to Sora and co. as how they acted and spoke reminded me of myself and my friends. The visuals and music were fantastic and the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack is on repeat quite frequently on my iPod.

The song that brings back the most memories from my time playing KH1 was the song from the Riku fight in Hollow Bastion after he was possessed by Ansem. The amount of raging I went through during that fight would've made one think I was going to go Hulk and destroy the tv. It was such a troublesome battle that I had to buy the strategy guide to figure it out and to this day, I still laugh at the writer of the guide said that the dragon Maleficent fight was worse then Riku. I know for my friend and myself, that was a lie XD

Kingdom Hearts 2, as easy as it was, I loved it regardless. I loved Roxas and when I heard him utter "I guess my summer vacation is over" the first time, paired with his music, I couldn't help but cry for him. Hearing that brought back the memory of an old friend of mine moving away and I thought about how Roxas' friends would miss him. The story was, in my opinion, just as good as the first one and I really loved the addition of new worlds. I however wished they would've gotten rid of Atlantica, thankfully this time it was just basically a mini-game world

I loved the reaction commands, even though they made the battles easier. One option I was happy to have was the option to skip cutscenes. After 20+ run throughs you don't want to end up memorizing each of the cutscenese by heart XD Battles were rather simple in this game, but to me it didn't take away from the fun and the story.

CoM, in my opinion, was the single most annoying game I've ever played. I didn't really like the card system and I definitely didn't like the fact that I got all the way to the end of the final level and needed a Red 1 card, which I had to use prior to getting there. I loved the fact that it was the bridge between Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, and I loved playing Riku's story.

368/2 Days was interesting and filled in a lot of the gaps that people had wondered about playing KH2. I loved that it was about Roxas' time in the Organization. There wasn't much I hated about this game, minus a few problematic boss fights in my opinion.
