Click & Play

Click & Play is an idea that I've been bouncing around in my head for a while and it goes hand in hand with sentiments that have been expressed here a few times before. There are quite a few people on these forums who just want to RP. Sometimes the itch to write just gets the better of us and when we're not a part of an open RP or when there isn't an open RP that instantly grabs us it can be frustrating. Simply writing on our own becomes the only option. I propose a remedy to this.

For those of you who want to drop in and out of a scene and write whenever you want, with no limitations. No need to sign up, no need to form relationships with your fellow players. No need to adhere to subplots or conform to continuity. What I propose is simple. One basic theme per thread. Write what you want playing as whoever you want. The only rule is that you stick to the theme. Want to play a zombie slaying bad-ass for a little while? We've got a thread for that. The first thread I propose is Click & Play Zombie Apocolypse. Don't waste time creating a character, forming relationships, writing a bio, waiting to be accepted, etc. just jump right in and start playing.

If you would like to see Click & Play flourish on our Role Plays board then let me know in this thread so I can propose the idea to my fellow staffers.

I am interested. I don't believe you ever brought this up with me, John. What the hell? lol. Anyway, this is a good idea, and I'm certainly up for it. I say, go ahead and make the thread, fool.

Though I am a newbie on these forums, I would be honored to trial this wonderful idea. It is a concept I have never, in all my years as a RPer, encountered and am very excited to gauge the possibilities
