Anyone play Minecraft? Anyone interested in Minecraft?

Lately I've been watching a lot of videos of Minecraft on YouTube and just generally researching the game. I'm yet to purchase the Beta version but I've been messing with the Classic version on the Minecraft website and today I decided to do some sprite builds. I've only actually completed one so far, as my first effort was a little above my experience. Damn Black Mage. Anyway, here's what I made earlier...

i got the game back in alpha. i love the game, but he has to fix one of the bugs before i can go back to play it like i used to.

but it is a rather addicting game, truth be told.

i'd recommend it. classic is drastically different from the normal gameplay though., but that is part of the fun in it!

I played around with it a bit with a friend a long time ago. We decided to recreate our forum logo and this is basically a start-to-finish progress slide:

the only thing that would make it crazier would have been if you did it now that materials are limited.

Damn, you guys are pretty good at this. Best I can do right now is 8-bit sprites. xD

I know Classic is nothing like what Minecraft is today, but it's great for building and just generally being creative. Some of the projects I've seen are insanely huge and damn impressive. Here's a couple more bits I did while I'm still failing at my attempts to lay down a Black Mage...





All standard stuff, but I suck at this. xD
