Premise

Imagine somewhere in an alternate reality there is a planet just like ours, filled with people just like us, except for one major difference. They are governed by the Pigs.

Imagine, if you will, a world where the Pigs choose when humans eat and when they drink, when they bathe and when their homes are cleaned, they control the water supply, the electricity supply, the food supply and they even monitor the population of each county individually. Imagine, if you will, that they eat humans, not primarily humans, though they still do so. Imagine, if you will, one of your loved ones being taken away to the local slaughterhouse, knowing that some part of them, whole or cut, is going to end up on a dinner table surrounded by a family of Pigs.

What a miserable world that would be.

This RP is going to take place in London, England some time during the early 21st century. It had started to happen gradually, but at some point in time the Pigs assumed total control of the whole country. But like all humans, the English like to fight for their freedom, and as such the Pigs are constantly met with rebellion. All over the country factions are beggining to sieze a little control here and there but it is the largest, the Rats, located in London, that is going for the top prize...

The following are the four highest members of the Rats. The Rats do not have a definable hierarchy, but it can be said that these four people are the most respected of the faction and their words carry the most weight. A lot of people look up to them and they are regarded as leaders by many. Collectively they are known as the Riders.

Appearance: Death is a tall and lean man with a clean shaven face and head. He has gaunt facial features and is always wearing black out of work hours, giving him the look of a vulture. His voice is raspy but very deep, which leads to his words bordering hypnotic. He is an extremely influential and shady character

Name: Amy Sewell AKA Pestilence
Age: 27
Occupation: Chemist
Appearance: Pestilence is a very beautiful and eccentric woman. She has raven dark hair and is seldom seen without her trademark vivid red leather overcoat. When she carries out her business, she goads the Pigs into fear by winding her old air raid siren from a safe distance

Name: Adrian Ross AKA War
Age: 33
Occupation: Mechanic
Appearance: War is, as some would say, built like a shit brick house. That is to say, he is very stocky and tall, making him a formidable fighter. He has short blonde hair and a large scar etched across the back of his head.

Name: Andrew McDonald AKA Famine
Age: 20
Occupation: Teacher
Appearance: Famine is a short and weedy bespectacled man with a quick and cunning mind. He is extremely athletic and is seldom reachable once he hits his stride. He has short dark hair and green eyes.

Notes
A few things should be noted.

To make this RP plausable the Pigs are described as humanoid beings with pig features. Very tall, very wide, bearing snouts, tusks, flappy ears, heavy set jaws and sharp teeth with squinty little eyes. They all posess a raw animal strength that can seldom be matched by human force alone. In short, the Pigs are a formidable foe. The Pigs have adopted Catholicism as their saving grace in this RP and as such anyone affiliated with the clergy is treated like royalty by the Pigs. As a repercussion of this, however, the Catholic church will be represented in an awful light during this RP, so if you are of the Catholic persuasion, you may very well want to steer clear. The Pigs are the police, bouncers at clubs, judges, bailiffs, etc. Any position of power is reserved solely for the Pigs.

As far as your character bios go, I will only be allowing for characters to be affiliated with The Rats and as such, for the time being, you may not be a Pig and you may not be associated with the Catholic church in any way. Humans do work, though they only hold meager jobs that are considered beneficial to the survival of the Pigs, and jobs not considered suitable for a Pig to be associated with. However, a human's boss will always be a Pig, and so will his boss, and his boss, etc. Also, humans do not work for money, as all of the food stores and water and electricity supplies are controlled by the Pigs. Humans work solely to keep the Pigs alive. In short: Humans are slaves to the Pig psuedo-economy.

As previously mentioned, Catholicism is going to be represented in an awful light during this RP and I will be bringing up a lot of touchy subjects regarding the church as we percieve it, so if you are very easily offended or disturbed then again, you may want to steer clear. Can't be more specific about the nature of this RP as it's designed to shock, so... play at your own caution, I suppose.

The specialities of the four pre-made characters are linked with their names. Famine being a quick and cunning man of great athletic pace is responsible for orchestrating raids on Pig stores. His primary objective is to gather food and water that can be distibuted fairly. War is the giant right hand of the Rats. His main objective is to smash as many Pigs as possible and as fast as possible. Simple. Pestilence, being a Chemist by trade, is knowledgable when it comes to chemical compounds and viruses. It is her primary objective to instigate chemical warfare against the Pigs and taint their perfect lives as much as possible. Death's specialities are torture, interrogation and stealth. It is his primary objective to gather information either by reaching behind enemy lines or by more forceful means on the home front. It is also his responsibility to make sure that secret things are kept secret, and as such Death does a lot of stuff that the vast majority of Rats know absolutely nothing about.

The boroughs of City of London and City of Westminster are out of bounds because they are both fully populated by Pigs. There are no humans in these two boroughs and as such, you may not choose them.

The story already exists, just not in this form. Frank Carter of Gallows wrote the premise for and co-directed a string of music videos that went straight to DVD to help promote their last album. All the videos tied together in a mini sort of movie just about 30 minutes long and it came bundled with special editions of the album. And yes, I'd love if you could recruite some members to join. You know the RP circles around here better than I. =D

I'll go ahead and say that I'm interested, but I can't sit down to make a character right now. Thanksgiving and what-not.

Just for the record, I don't think I know anyone that's interested that you yourself don't know. Most people seem to have passed through RPing like a fad. I'm ready to go though. Ready for us to start with our bios, or do you know a few people you want to get ahold of, or what, John, mah boi?

I'm absolutely interested. It's been too long since I've RP'd, so it'll be good to get back into this... and it might help me with my writer's block and bad habits. I'll come up with a bio as soon as I can, which will most likely be some time after Sunday (got a big dance concert that day, so our rehearsals are hectic).

Oh, I have a question. Why are three of those characters' histories "unknown" and one of them is "Was once War"? Not sure why you have a history thing in the first place... I think it'd be easier to just let that kinda stuff out while writing in the story, but that's just how I'd take it.
