[Report] Mass Effect 2 will go PS3

Well, the title says it all.

The highly successful and very popular Mass Effect series seemed to be solely a Microsoft darling until very recently. During EA's press confrence at GamesCom in Cologne, Germany, BioWare's Dr. Ray unleashed the news upon us all that Mass Effect 2 will go boldly where the original never did. To Sony's PlayStation 3.

This news should be doubly exciting as the PS3 version of the game will reportedly include "hours of bonus content". Though this is unconfirmed.

Even so, a round of cheers, PS3 owners?

It seems silly that ME2 is getting ported, but not ME1.

Someone a different forum pointed out that since ME1 is published by Microsoft, and ME2 is published by EA, ME1 most likely won't get a PS3 port.

It is nice that the ps3 is slowly but surely getting more great games. We'll just have to let the bonus content that's almost always included make up for the fact that we get everything late.
