Tales of Graces PS3 due; Wii Beta Testers Duped

So...would have preferred 360, heh. Like a lot of RPGs, it seems Tales of Graces Wii didn't sell well enough for Bamco, so they're squeezing more money out of it from PS# owners. If only they would do the same for 360, like Compile Heart...

*sighs* I've got way too many issues with Bamco, and I'm not even a decent follower of their stuff.

Just like how the 360 owners revolted about a upgrade of Vesperia going to the PS3, I'm sure Wii owners will wave their wii-motes in outrage.

Meanwhile, PS3 owners like me twiddle our thumbs, wondering if these PS3 versions will ever come outside Japan in the first place, all the while considering to just buy the so-called beta versions of the games since they appear to be the only version Non-Japanese will ever get a chance to play >_>

As for Tales itself, that series was just spread way too far across platforms for me to get into. Most people usually stick to one of the big 3 for gaming, but I dunno what Namco was thinking...The only thing I managed to play was Abyss (but I enjoyed it a lot).

I do get why people feel gutted over the PS3 version being announced a couple of times from Bamco's library. Honestly, they should just release the same game for every platform and be done with it. They should do what Atlus does and just release the games in limited quantities.

But from what I heard, Tales is deep in the red. Something about being 200 million in the hole? Odds are the Tales series are gonna get sold to another company - which I honestly think is good. Bamco America only cares about Naruto and DBZ because they're money makers and don't care about getting out some quality gems. I did love Eternal Sonata, .hack//G.U. and XenoSaga, so Bamco does make good stuff - just doesn't bother sharing it with the rest ff the world.

Hopefully one company that will do the series justice. Tales really is one of the last JRPG games around that sticks to the tried and true "tired", "old", "boring" JRPG formula that companies like Square-Enix is saying to hell to, all for the chance to possibly appeal to the West.

As I've said time and time again, I like JRPGs. Whether that's defined by the region, or by what's commonly found in these JRPGs, that's what I want.

So if no one heard the news, Namco-Bandai IS bringing over the PS3 version of Tales of Graces F over to NA O.o

So, uh, yay? xD

I guess this is the chance Tales fans have to prove they still want more Tales of games here. I'm just deciding whether I'll buy it right away or not (I'm not really a big fans of Tales, but I liked the one I played :P)

I'll buy it for sure when it releases over here. I'm a huge fan of the Tales series, and typically give each game a chance... except Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. I hardly ever acknowledge that game even exists. It's so bad compared to the original. Anywho, with Tales of Graces and Tales of Xillia coming out, I should have something Tales-related to keep me occupied.

If only the PS3 version of Vesperia would release in NA. I want the bonus content. -_-
