    Wink Hello. I'm Me.

My name is Nadia Moore, but you do realise that it's not my real name, and I am new on here, obviously, or I wouldn't be posting this. I've looked through the site a couple of times before, but had never actually made a commitment to joining. I am super busy with other sites too, so I might not be as active here as I would like to be for a while. I write, but it's mostly fiction, seeing as I only have one FanFiction, and it's for the Chronicles of Narnia and barely started. I guess I kinda suck at it... >.>

If you were to ask me what else I like to do, you would get the typical response that about 600 million other people have when they tell you that they like to read, draw, play video games, and hang out with friends, which proves we're not all entirely unique. I have a blogDeviantART that has a few sketches and pictorial edits on it, as well as FictionPress to go along with that FanFiction.net account.

If you must know, since I don't keep it very updated on those writing accounts, the main story that I am working on on FictionPress is the one titled Someone Save Me From The Hate that is based off of the song Hero, by Skillet. I think I'll try to churn out a chapter or two and possibly a third in the next week or so on that and other stories, mainly because I don't really have a life.

I am a lowly fourteen years old, but have been told I'm much more mature than I should be, and live in boring old Wisconsin, where nothing ever seems to happen. I have coulrophobia, where I am deathly afraid of clowns. Seriously- they scare me more than anything. I would prefer to eat doughnuts and zebra cakes, but I am stuck eating healthy things instead because I don't want to get fat. I play loads of video games, and am working toward getting a new gaming system that is much more awesome than my own. *squee* My major game obsession is Zelda, or Call Of Duty. I play Zombie games too, because it would just be wrong if I didn't... Duh.

As far as Role-Playing goes, I'll do pretty much anything besides the overrated teen Twilight shit, but prefer to do futuristic Apocalypse/Steampunk or any kind of fantasy. I very recently started my own Zombie role-play site, which can be found in my signature, and it isn't even close to taking off yet. Basically, I'm your go-to girl about whatever you want to role-play about. I will be brutally honest, however, and if I don't want to play out a scenario, I will explain why and then I won't.

.....I think that is all I can say about myself off of the top of my head, but if you want to know more, I suggest you ask it specifically.

    Re: Hello. I'm Me.

After reading your introductory post in full I would like to first give you a warm welcome to RSF. Welcome. =]

I'd now like to suggest that you post some of your writings in our lovely Art Gallery and get RPing so we can really see what you're made of.

Or you could do neither and just graciously accept my welcome. Reptar would certainly be pleased if you could only do that.

I think that I will do all three. I do, really, gratefully accept your warm welcome. I am going to post my writing and such {The links to which can also be found in my signature} in the wonderful Art Gallery, and am going to find a Role-Play to my liking as soon as possible.

    Re: Hello. I'm Me.

That is SOOOOOO crazy! I'm me, too!

But yeah, welcome to Rising Star Forums.
Your role-playing prowess will be highly appreciated here, as will any creative writing you may make.
Personally, I enjoy reading people's work, if only to spell-check for them.

    Also, 14 years old?
    Better watch cause we got-

OH MY GOD, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
    I cannot be any clearer.
Take from this what you will, and please feel free to counter anything I have said with some opinions of your own. Which would strictly probably almost be an accepted algorithm essential to the construct and maintenance of a proper discussion.
    Just throwing that out there.

Haha, thank you for the warning, but I'm probably as bad as the rest of you, and am sooooo used to hanging around with people old enough to be, or are, paedophiles. And even if you read my work just to beta it, I would thank you. (=

Hello there, Nadia. I'm new around these parts as well. Do call me Moron. And enjoy your stay here.

I think clowns are rather pitiful these days. It seems everyone's scared of them. Must be all those horror movies portraying them in an unfavourable light. In any case, we were all 14 once, I'm sure. Cherish your early teenhood years while you can.

    Re: Hello. I'm Me.

I'm fairly sure it's not the horror movies, Moron, seeing as I have no problem whatsoever with them, and actually prefer to write gruesome and mature things. =D I think it's just their faces, and the fact that while I'm not afraid of paedophiles without face-paint, I have it stuck in my head that I am when they do. I.E, clowns.

And L.......Why wasn't I told before?! Now I have to think really hard about whether I am actually me or not! Well, it's a good opportunity, so I thank you. (= And as for being a liar...I hope that was completely in good spirits, seeing as I would gladly chop off something very important to you if you that that was true, mainly because you don't know me very well and that would be an asinine assumption on your part. ^__^ Let it for the record be known that I am not a liar! Unless I am lying, of course, which I could very well be.

    (...........KIDDING.)

    Newbies these days. So awesome.

Ms Moore, you've neglected to inform us where you come from.

    Re: Hello. I'm Me.

If you're "me" and I'm me too, does that mean we're the same person? OOOOHH SHII- O__O
Kidding, don't mind me and my unintelligent self.
I don't like clowns either. They creep me out and make me want to kick them in the face.
On a more serious note, welcome to RSF. You seem like a cool person.
I do hope you enjoy yourself here and whatnot.
Also, have some complimentary s and if that suits your fancy. x)
Don't worry, these doughnuts won't make you fat.

    Re: Hello. I'm Me.

Thank you both for the compliments. (= I like being called nice things, seeing as idiots these days have no manners... *grumbles to self* Anyway, it does seem that I neglected to say where I hail from, and I make up for this by saying that I am from lonely, middle-of-nowhere, boring old Wisconsin. Seriously- nothing ever happens here. We had a boy drown in a lake last week, and some shootings a couple of months ago, but that's it. This is why I want to move to Chicago. *more grumbling to self* >.> I also thank you, Rivey, for the doughnuts and coffee. You do not have to worry about the doughnuts making me worry about being fat, seeing as they are my favourite food. In the entire world. Teh Ends.

Actually you did already say you were from Wisconsin. I was just testing you. Or was I?

I love doughnuts too, and it is an ambition of mine to one day make my very own peanut butter donuts.

    Re: Hello. I'm Me.

Man, introduction threads don't usually require this much reading. I came out of lurking for this!

Welcome, welcome. Yeah, at 14 you're pretty young. Not our youngest though, I'm pretty sure we have a 12-13 year old. We're mostly younguns here at RSF. I believe the majority of our members fall in the 18-25 range.

Any new roleplayer is good news to me. I've been itching to get back into it myself.

    Re: Hello. I'm Me.

If you didn't want to say something, you wouldn't have gone through the trouble. =P And thank you, too, for the welcome.

I'm still trying to figure out the system for RP's here, seeing as it's a bit complicated, but I think I got most of it. If you want to join an RP, you go into the OOC section, and look either in Players Wanted or Sign Up & Discussion and ask/say you're interested in joining? If you want to start a thread....You post threads possibly in both of those, and then either before or after you get people that want to join, you start a thread in the aptly named 'Role-Plays' section, and possibly a discussion thread if you didn't get through all of the details in one of your other beginning threads?

Urg.... I just love asking questions. >.> Anyway, umm.... Oh! What is the criteria for starting a thread? I've seen a lot of 'Words To Know' and such in them, and wonder if they're mandatory, or just a habit people have developed? Yeah.... I think that's it. If you could give me any more helpful tips, I'll give you brownie doughnut points. =D

    Re: Hello. I'm Me.

It's okay, I love answering questions! In fact, I'm 67% certain I'm on staff.

Don't worry, it's not so complicated.

The players wanted is exactly what it sounds like. If you need players, or want to do an interest check on an idea before you actually write it all up that's where you go. Putting those kinds of threads there just helps keep the sign up and discussion section neater, and easier to navigate.

If you don't know what OOC and IC are, OOC is "out of character" and IC is "In character." The OOC thread is for sign-up and discussion. If you're interested in joining an RP, this is where you're going to look. Usually people use the same thread for sign-up and OOC discussion.

Role Play is, you guessed it, where the actual RP happens. Once you've gotten your character approved and the GM has started the set, this is where you'll post. You won't always have to wait for character approval, but that's generally the way things go.

What do you mean by words to know?

    Re: Hello. I'm Me.

Ok. So I was right about most of it... And I'm not a newbie at RPing, so..Yeah. =P I hadn't really seen anything about character approval, though. Maybe I just didn't look that hard. Or at all, for that matter. >.< As far as words to know, I just was looking through some threads, and this seemed to perceive a main post on a planning thread.

    Re: Hello. I'm Me.

I didn't think you were new, but I figured it's better to go over everything than assume people know things.

Character approval is something that happens for characters made for specific RP's in that roleplay's sign-up thread. It's not really a formal process. It's something as simple as posting your character in the sign-up thread, and the person hosting the set saying. "Looks good to me." Generally people are more helpful and give more feedback than that here, but you get what I mean.

If you're into Yaoi RP's, another one of our younger (I think) members is looking for that. If not, I'll probably start up something soon. You're tastes don't seem far removed from mine. I'm also thinking it'll be a good idea to start the ol' Tavern back up. I can do that tonight. It's a roleplay that doesn't require any sign up or character approval, or even commitment. So it's nice to try out characters, get a little RP fix, or get acclimated to the forum's RP atmosphere. I'll get back to you on it.

Also, if you feel up for it you can join the RolePlay Contest that we will be reviving yet again soon.

By the way, welcome to the forums! It's always good to see another RPer.

All of this sounds great to me, except for the Yaoi- I'm just not into that.. But, as I said, I will do just about anything. (= Just let me know when!
