Thumbs down Power Rangers = Murder

As many of you may have known one of the actors from Power Rangers [though not a main character], ended up killing a man in 2003, and then killing a couple in order to steal their Yacht.

    Full article is here:

It's just...ridiculous, really. To think that someone killed TWO people over a boat.

Anywho, I'm curious what you guys think about this case. The guy is being sentenced to death for his crimes.

...that's messed up. The fact that he's an actor means nothing. He tied a couple to an anchor and threw them overboard. For what? A boat? Disgusting.

I'm not opposed to the death penalty; however, I think they should let him experience the horror he himself caused others. Tie him to an anchor and throw him into the ocean. Lethal injection is too good for him.

A really "ugh" story. I actually just a did a google search just now, and the same guy apparently tried to "saw off his penis" O.o

There's not much to say. This was a bad thing that happened. I don't think Power Rangers had anything to do with this guy though. Just one man among the masses who snapped, or has really crappy judgment, I suppose >_>

I'm just trying to figure out which power ranger of which season he was. even with his pic, I have no clue O.o
Hi, sorry about my lacking presence at RSF. I got busy with my off-line life, and though it's settled a bit, there's not much to do here without people posting (which is kind of my fault >.<)

Wow, I saw this report a couple of weeks ago but I never knew that he was from Power Rangers. This is really sad and the pictures that I saw from the couple it seemed as though the couple were really happy and enjoying life. Its cruel that these people had to end their lives and they have no right.

    And just for a boat.....

At the same time, I think I'd rather die when I was happy, rather than sad. I think it makes a difference in how I'd be remembered. On that note, while he did kill them cruelly, there are so many people who've done worse, and haven't been caught for it. There's one guy who murdered a college peer while on a school-funded trip to France (and I won't go in to details, but it was horrific). He only did a few years because of an insanity plea, and now he's fucking famous. Why does he deserve fame and recognition? I'll find the article and put it up...

Yeah, you do have a point Doaj. It just irritates me that people do that to such nice people. And I know it happens ALL THE TIME. How could people do that and then not care? 'Justice' sometimes can be cruel, too.

"The fact that he's an actor means nothing."

For kids who liked him as Power Ranger it means too much.

That reminded me about the case of Shogo Shiyotani.

He's famous solely for the murder of another human being, and the answer as to why should be obvious enough to anyone with a bit of real world experience. Our society is so desensitized and messed in the head that we find amusement and entertainment in the suffering of others, especially murder. Do you need to ask why he's famous, when you know the answer is swimming around in the back of your mind?

Like mentioned, he wasn't even a main character, he was only in one or two episodes as a background character.
Our world can be a sick place at times.

Just to update this thread, there was a video of him that was on some show, with him talking about it. The guy is definitely a bit of a weirdo. Hopefully the link works:

Wow, well... he sure as hell looked crazy. But seeing that video, he's Grade A squirrel s#%t! One of the odd things about the video is that the subtext says "Former Power Ranger," when he was a freakin' extra.

Yikes. That's just messed up right there. Killing people over a boat? I don't care if you're an actor or not. That's just plain wrong. I say he gets what's coming to him. Murder is still murder, no matter who you are ::coughs:: Some people just have enough money and fame to get out of the death sentence. But, that aside, this is just sad. I don't feel sorry for him one bit. I feel sorry for the people who were murdered.

Thing about this guy...? He's not famous at all. He was just an extra on the Power Rangers show, and the network probably used that as a way to get the story some attention (see: ratings). LOL.

Okay, so he wasn't a Power Ranger. But, he was a "brief" actor. It sounds better than extra. Lol.

If I'm not mistaken, the guy that played Jason murdered his girlfriend.

Um, I think this is terrible, but the thread title is a bit misleading. The Power Rangers actually have little to do with this. >_>

I think it was done to draw you into the thread. And it did, right? LOL.

Damn right it did. I normally wouldn't touch the debate section with a 40-foot pointed stick.
