Oh, I assumed in terms of the story that gardens made Eden illegal to use - that's what I gathered from Doaj's point *rubs chin*

Oh, so should we make headmaster characters for the other gardens then? Galbadia at least probably needs one that will talk to Raydune along with being their own agenda O.O

And I think Irvine from FFVIII is a headmaster too somewhere, can't remember...

And also, how are the negotiations being handled? First I thought headmasters and some representatives/bodyguards accompany them to one location, but what about conferencing via video links from their own gardens?

I assume Galbadia probably wouldn't want to be in person since they gotta get rid of incriminating evidence and such O.O

I have a plan for a character connection chart layout, but it's going to be pretty expansive. There's just so many people in the RP, especially when you include NPCs and such.

Yep, I guess that's the plan.

Irvine is the headmaster of Centra Garden. I'm not sure if it was the Galbadian headmaster that was killed by Dave as he escaped Galbadia Garden and travelled to Eshtar. I'd have to look that up. If it was the Galbadian Headmaster who got killed, Galbadia is going to have a new one. (EDIT: Galbadia's headmaster would be Headmaster Damien. If he's not dead, he's probably in VERY bad shape, having caught a Bahamut fireball in the face)

Having Headmaster characters/NPCs will also bring in a nice dynamic: picking sides. I think it would be nice if Galbadia wasn't gangbanged by all the Gardens but rather that the Gardens would even out a bit somehow (maybe influenced by lies, bribes, threats etc or just because they have friends there, or prior alliances. How many Gardens are in on it? etc.) so it won't be too one-sided.

I'm guessing video conferencing would be OK for smaller negotiations, and perhaps also in the early stages of the current affairs, however for big decisions I think it's still necessary to meet in person. It seems more official somehow. If that makes sense.

Haha, I guess it is overly convenient to have all the blame on Galbadia. Surprise alliances would be be pretty interesting to see ;D

But I still considered the "zomg evil Galbadians" was just a small part of the garden. True if it was spear-headed by the headmaster, it would make it seem like the whole garden is uber evil, but I can't help but thinking that a whole, entrie Garden being absolutely hell bent on world domination :/

Would be awesome if Damien was all mummified and stuff. It'll probably give him a rotten mood, too.

And who knows? Perhaps Galbadia manages to convince people of their own righteousness. Propaganda can do a lot.

Although if Akira and Dave were the only successful GF baby fusions, all the other cadets and SeeDs at Galbadia are just regular people. Although they might have that GF emulation device Esthar conveniently created ;D

I don't think it would even be too much of a stretch for other Gardens to side with Galbadia. if Esthar wanted to retaliate against Galbadia for the actions taken by Dave Whihamner, despite that it was classified as independent, then it would look like Esthar was making things personal despite that Galbadia had been damaged as well (in that Damien had been assaulted and nearly killed by Whihamner). Personally, I'd probably side with Galbadia in such a case. It doesn't even necessarily have to break wide open that children had been experimented on. Other Gardens had done it too, so none of them would want to point the first finger for fear of being called out next.

Just sayin'.

Nah, I can't really see Esthar particularly retaliating against an independent action. Alaster's more concerned about the stuff Akira told him about than Dave's stupid attack, even though a couple of people died.

If it was a full on garden vs garden thing, than he'd be all about kicking butt xD

Two of my characters will likely interact with Dew's character, one is captive somewhere, and Alaster is likely going to be on his way to either Esthar Garden, or we can write another negotiation/meeting thing will take place with all the gardens *rubs chin*

I'm sure Mel and Doaj will be able to point you the right way! I'm not really a VIII-loremaster myself, but I know enough to get by. I must admit I learned more in the OOC threads (both the original one and this one) and a few PM convos I had than I did throughout the entire game. I think the most important thing to do is read up on the old RP, I think it's all you need really. That's all the background that really matters, anyway.

Weird, isn't it, that some characters you make just 'click' and they just work so much better than other characters that don't seem all that much different. It makes the whole thing like 350 times (even) more enjoyable!

Sorry for doubleposting, but I suddenly remembered something from the original RP. Doaj said there that for people fused to a GF, Raydune somehow 'feels' wrong. So I added a final bit on to Thomas' part. If it feels illogical that Tonberry says this only after a month, I'll just say that neither Thomas nor Tonberry were never close enough to or focussed enough on Raydune to feel the wrongness.

Of course, if the wrongness is no longer effective in this RP, just discount the final bit.
