Well before we decide when to start the RP, there's still the fickle thing about how long the RP ran exactly. By the looks of it, it was only 2 days all that stuff in the old RP happened O.o

Yeah, as far as I know they are.

I don't think the RP ran much more than a few days. Maybe the events at Centra Garden took a bit longer from start to finish (from Bontane's first scene till now) but other than that most of the events took place in only a day or two.

We can still have a month's break though I think, to give everyone a breather and then continue with the story.

You two sure got busy, xD.Everything I've read sounds fine to me, and if we're including Trabia Garden again (because to my awareness that wasn't a Garden the first time around) then we'd have six Gardens. I'm fine with that- just wanted to know if that's where we were going. I'll be making my character now, so I'll edit this post with it when I'm done.

Name: Layala Hestomia
Age: 19.
Appearance: Layala has dirty blond hair, straight and long. It falls about her shoulders like a waterfall, and she's 5'5", weighing 115 lbs. She has very small features, a small mouth, a small smile, small breasts, feet, and a small voice. She looks her age, or a bit younger, and has many similar features to her older brother, Bontane, and though she'll never know it, she looks remarkably similar to her birth mother.

Location: See Dew's and my own first posts.
Bio: Layala is the younger sister of Bontane Hestomia. She had never gone through SeeD training, and never knew her brother going up. In fact, they were quite different. Layala was put up for adoption when Bontane was one year old, because her parents felt they were not capable of raising two children, especially so close together. She was raised by foster parents, unaware that they were not her own. She later figured it out herself, when she realized both of her parents have black hair and brown eyes, while she has dirty blond hair and blue eyes (which she got from her mother, while Bontane's brown eyes are from his father). She also learned that what she assumed was her conscience is actually that of a GF, Alexander, and that her adoptive parents were only given her if they agreed to never talk about the experimentation she was subject to. Alexander told her why children were experimented on, so she refused to learn how to fight- refused to be a tool of war.

She learned of her older brother, that he was a teacher at Esthar. Layala was working on the White Ship as a cook, and knew she needed to meet her brother. Alexander warned her that he was dangerous, but he'd do whatever he could to protect her. Alexander told her that he also had a GF, but that they worked differently, and that they'd killed her birth mother. When she went to see him, Pandemona locked the two of them in a basement room that had been added onto the Garden when the Centra Ruins were built into the Balamb Garden. Only a handful of people knew about it, and Pandemona killed all of them, eventually including Bontane. Now only Layala and Thomas know about it, and they're about to meet for the first time.

Standing only 5'5" tall, Maki is small for his age. He has blonde hair and blue eyes, though his eye colour is seldom distinguishable behind his orange-tinted goggles. Maki prefers wearing baggy clothes in order to hide his small frame.

Maki has the annoying tendancy to speak his mind, and he never mices words, though he rarely does this intentionally. Despite being outwardly spoken, Maki is quite the introvert and prefers to blend into the background when a situation gets too busy. To people who truly know him, Maki is a hyperactive know-it-all who always makes an effort to cheer people up.

History
Maki was raised in Trabia where he lived with his grandfather until he was 15 years old. Maki left for Balamb where he started training to become a SeeD member as soon as he became old enough, but only after his grandfather gave his blessing. Maki always kept his head down and studied hard, which allowed him to not only pass his exam with flying colours, achieving Rank 8, but also to achieve a higher base of knowledge than most SeeDs his age. Maki is still considered a bit of a loner in the SeeD ranks, but there are atleast a few people that he will admit to being able to rely upon.

Year 7
Layala Bontane was born.

Year 8
Thomas was experimented on by Odine and Lucas, having at least 12 GFs fused with him at once, and having all of them removed.

Year 9
Maki Samuels was born.
Layala is fused with Alexander.
Layala is adopted by her new parents.

Year 13
Maki is experimented on, having been given Leviathan and extracted immediately afterward. It was deemed a success, the scientists unaware that Leviathan was only partially withdrawn, leaving Leviathan's consciousness in Maki, resulting in a split-personality disorder.

Year 15
Raydune is split into multiple people, along with Griever.

Year 25
Repairs of Trabia Garden begin after a quarter of a century.

Year 27
Maki passed his SeeD exam.
Dave Whihamner was killed by Hayden Sorrick.
Amie Wilkeson was killed by Hayden Sorrick.
Akira Kurama died due to Eden's strength.
Eden was banned from rotation as a GF.
Akira Kurama was killed by Hayden Sorrick.
Hayden Sorrick disappeared and has not seen since.

Centra Garden is stationed where The Centra Ruins used to lie, as Balamb Garden crashed into it while Nida was training his co-pilot. During repairs Squall had decided to have the ruins built into the Garden, and to have the ruins' structure formed for mobility. The name was changed in memory of Odin, who was slain during the fight with Seifer Almasy.

Galbadia Garden's location has stayed the same.

Timber is located roughly half way between Timber and Winhill. On that note, it is directly south of Galbadia Garden.

The Esthar Garden is located at the crash site where Piet is found on disc 3.

The White Ship Garden runs through the oceans and is the White SeeD ship we all know and love. The White Ship Garden is not accessible in normal fashion, meaning that one cannot transfer from another Garden to White Ship. Seeds who reach rank A and pass a special test are the only ones admitted, and are known as White Seeds.

Trabia Garden is in its old location, although is not complete and has no staff as of yet.

Name: Raydune (One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, and Eight)
Age: 43.
GF Fusion: Griever.

Wt: 235 lbs.
Appearance: Raydune is a tall, muscular man. His face is calm and peaceful. His hair is black, and his eyes are wide and full of life. He seems to be a happy man, with a hearty laugh. He has a large scar on his back, along his spine, but nobody has seen it. He dresses professionally and keeps his social interactions strictly professional.

Personality: Raydune is not a very talkative man, and from what everybody can tell, he's quite happy. When he talks, everybody's insecurities melt away, and when he smiles, women flock to him. He's been single all of his life, but never lonely. He does not like to talk about his past. Raydune exists at every Garden and is a member of staff at each one:
Raydune One works at Timber.
Raydune Two works at Galbadia.
Raydune Three works at Esthar.
Raydune Four works at White Ship.
Raydune Five works at Centra.
Raydune Six is a hermit in the Trabia mountains.
Raydune Seven was killed in an auto-accident in Deling City.
Raydune Eight lives in Shumi and expects a position at Trabia upon completion.

Seed Rank: A-White
Element: Gravity.
Weapon: Raydune uses a sword that was made in the image of Odin's 'Zantetsuken'. It is just as powerful, however is not capable of the insant death slashes because it is wielded by Raydune instead of Odin. His sword is called, "True Edge". He is quite capable with it.

Background: Not much is known of Raydune, however it is known that he started off when he was seven years old at Balamb Garden. He was sixteen during FFVIII, and had played behind the scenes, being a SeeD heavily involved with the fight against the sorceresses. When he was twenty-one he reached rank A, and when he was twenty-six, he was accepted into the White Ship, where he reached A-White and became an instructor there. For unknown reasons he is attempting to find new work, however his resume looks fantastic. He claims that he wants to pass on the experiences of a White Seed to new and inexperienced students. He discusses his altruistic appearance with Griever, the GF that has been infused into him. Nobody knows this except for him, no exceptions.

Raydune was experimented on by Odine and Lucas, fused with Griever. When Raydune was 28 he hired an assistant at the lab they worked in to kill the two doctors, and then began to head the experimentations himself. When he was 31 he made himself the subject of experimentation again, attempting to split Griever into multiple GFs from his own body. Rather, he himself was split, along with Griever, and he was then Eight people. They all agreed to work together for their own cause, finding that Raydune was not at one eighth strength, intelligence, or humanity, but simply eight times as many. From their they each gained their own personalities and memories, since they began to experience different things. In occordance with working together they decided to each try and get a position at each Garden, to have a hand in all goings-on. People do not recognize that they are the same person because of Griever's time magic (being that he was created in the time dimension). Raydune's ultimate goal is as of yet unknown.

Hestomia was her birth parents' last name. She changed it legally when she turned eighteen. And in the timeline, I fudged it and said her last name was Bontane, despite that it isn't- that's Bontane's first name. xD Sorry to confuse you.

I intended for the assistant Raydune hired to be Marcus; since didn't Marcus kill Odine and Lucas, and then your character killed Marcus a year after Raydune was experimented on?

Dave Whihamner acted on his own, perhaps influenced, but with enough awareness of his own actions for it to be considered an independent decision. Eden quite simply killed the boy he was in, despite that the boy did not wish to die, and the two scenarios are quite different. Bahamut has been theoretically put back into rotation for a new character to use. And don't worry- despite that it's been years since someone was fused, things might start up again soon.

Okay, so finally made my post - sorry for the wait I likely caused. I was doing a bunch of different stuff, along with general face palm "wtf do I write?" moments too >.<

Just a bunch of emotional and filler stuff, but I'm hoping we can start some more interactions.

But the whole Galbadia thing still is confusing. The attack on Esthar was an independent act by Dave I think. From what I gather, he was going after Akira to bring him back due to orders, although Dave betrayed Galbaida, so he fled to where Akira was...but then he wants to kill Akira..?

But I guess the main accusation Galbadia is facing is about fusing babies to GF, where most babies actually friggin' died, and also the whole take-over the world plan, right?

There was some vague mention about cloning GFs, but...It didn't really get elborated on *shrugs*

Dave's motives aren't entirely clear, I just think he wanted answers (that's what he yelled all the time) but that's about all I know. Other than that the man was likely just an attention whore. And pretty angry at the time.

The tension between the Gardens is mostly because of what Akira said. Dave's attack was certainly a factor but only because it attracted so much attention. While it was the action of a solitary person, it did bring to light several things the Galbadia Garden had rather be secret still. The GF experiments being one of them.

Gah, seriously, Galbadia does confuse me. GF Fusions aren't just a Galbadia thing. From what I gather, GF Fusion is part of the big zomg master plan from Raydune, and he's facilitating all the fusion experiements happening all over the place. And all the other characters whose been fused with GFs in experiments are gonna wonder what about their experience not in Galbadia, right?

You mentioned Lucy attending negotiations, so I guess Alaster would have to be there, and he could show video footage of the convo he had with Akira to all the other people *rubs chin*

Aren't allowed to use ingame or OOC? Since it's technically not taken anymore (its host is dead, duh) it should be free to use OOC, but with forbidden you mean that the Gardens have declared Eden off limits or something? Or will Eden get banned from being used altogether? I'm just checking because there's quite a big difference


I could try the connection chart but it's probably going to be the end of me. They'll find me in my room with a face contorted into a grimace that seems to say "EEEEEAAAAAARGH THE COMPLICATEDNESS!"



It's not so much the GF fusion itself (although the fusion experiments are pretty horrid, as you say it's being done illegally everywhere) but Galbadia's motives. Akira mentioned Galbadia wanting to build up a force of loyal, powerful GF-fused soldiers for the purpose of attacking theother Gardens. While Raydune's actions tie into Galbadia's, I doubt the motives of those two parties are the same.


And yeah, I did that to leave open the possibility of interaction as well as some plot twists regarding inter-Garden wars and such.
