RPContest #9 - Guidelines... Back From the Dead!

    RPContest #6 - Guidelines

    The RPContest

Back from the dead... hopefully. RPContest #8 wasn't exactly a success. People having a severe lack of time as well as our moving to a new forum version and everything else that transpired kind of pushed the RPC out of everyone's recollection. I say: time to bring it back!

Here are the guidelines for the contest, so get ready:

    • Theme:Character Creation mk2
    • Word Limit: 1200 words
    • Additional Rules: See below
    • Deadline: Monday 19 April

I have a rule in mind that might make this interesting. My idea was that you would create a character for someone else (ie another RPer). For example, if I would participate I might create a character for Doaj to use, and I would try and make it fit his style as much as I possibly could. You can pick anyone you want. There are no further restrictions to creating the characters.

The character bio needs to contain at least these points:

    -Name
    -Age
    -Appearance
    -Weapons (if any)
    -Biography
-Intended for RPer... (you can state reasons but this is not required)

Good luck, have fun, and thanks in advance for participating!

    Additional additional rules

If you don't know any RPers on this forum, there are two things you can do. You can either A)

allowed to make one for yourself.
    or B)

make an RP character for a historical figure to play. If Abraham Lincoln RP'ed, what kind of a character would he create? What about Beethoven, Ghandi, or Genghis Kahn?

What if I don't know anyone to design it for D:

Thanks to the unbelievably talented Contra Fates
    Heil Kefka!

"Music is a means capable of expressing dark dramatism and pure rapture, suffering and ecstasy, fiery and cold fury, melancholy and wild merriment – and the subtlest nuances and interplay of these feelings which words are powerless to express and which are unattainable in painting and sculpture."

I guess if you're (relatively) new here and don't know people's styles well enough to create a character to cater to them, you're allowed to make one for yourself.

Also note that the entry will not be evaluated on how well it fits the RPer it is made for. So if you made one for me that doesn't fit my style of play at all, it won't disqualify the entry or even jeopardise its chances of winning. It's still about making the most appealing entry. I just wanted to add a bit of flavour to it.

Or, despite that I totally don't make the rules and I could be wrong, I don't see it being against the rules to make an RP character for a historical figure to play. If Abraham Lincoln RP'ed, what kind of a character would he create? What about Beethoven, Ghandi, or Genghis Kahn?

=D Yah. That was that awesome.

Awesome idea, and accepted! Nice work.

    Yes, you can do this.

I'm terribly sorry for the delay. There are two causes:

    1: I have only received 1 entry
2: I have been rather busy the past two days (homework and work) and probably will be tomorrow as well.

I hope to get it up tomorrow night (if I get another entry by then that would be awesome, if not I'm going to have to take measures...) if not it will have to be later. I apologise in advance for any further delays, but you can speed things along by entering; after all, we only need 1 more entry to have a competition!
