Seems in trying to be diplomatic, I seemed to have given people the impression that I was looking down on the skins or something, I never said that.

If that's you being diplomatic, you really have no sense of self. Your personality is generic and most people are fine with that, but I'm not. I only like Actuals. Does that sound diplomatic to you? Doesn't sound diplomatic to me. That shit just sounds rude.

My intent, was, dear sir, to go out and say what Lind was sorta hinting at, and then saying why said white skin, "while it may have looked cool" to someone with a unique eye or similar, just won't appeal to the majority, because most people prefer something with high contrast, especially with something dark in the background and something light in the foreground.

I am studying Graphic Design in college, along with a host of other things for my major, and I was simply quoting something I learnt. Style and coolness = nothing, if it has to compete with usability and User friendliness.

My intent was not to be rude. I'm quite a fan of what Kendra is and has done here. It depends on how you see stuff. If you're looking for my words to plain insult you, then you'll find everything I say will be negative.

I also never said the skins were bad, I just meant to say they looked generic BECAUSE of the limitations. There are very few vB 4 skins or skinners out there, and the fact that this forum even has 3 skins, is beyond impressive.

I do understand, that my comments aren't welcome here, so I'll proceed to shut up from now on =/

Your comments are welcome, just be more careful. I don't find myself to be one of the "majority", but I just didn't like the white skin. Had nothing to do with usability or any of that, it just wasn't visually appealing to me. I still play Sega even though my console is broken because I like it, still love Doaj even though he's crazy. Usability isn't really one of my priorities. I don't go looking for insults, your delivery just could've been a bit more gentle. Also, everything can't be interpreted as an insult unless it was said with some malice. Honest. If you were like, "I liked the white skin, but I get that usability trumps looks" we wouldn't be having this conversation.

P.S. I'm a girl and I have boobs. Don't fucking call me sir.

I think that your argument is well founded and I understand it completely, but I do think the reason Kendra offered the additional skins was because of the disparity in user tastes. I think you could be abit more thoughtful and clear in your posts though, because as you can see some people can mistake it for an attack, and get rather butthurt.

I actually wasn't berating, it was just an example. Berating would be to talk shit about Setsuken's site and why everyone left it, but I didn't broach the topic. Setsuken is a fine individual though and I was just saying that the way you word something can make it or break it. I also don't like getting called a boy all the time... And don't call me a fangirl; Kendra's a jew. I'd also prefer not to be called a good member, but for no particular reason.
