Lara Croft is at it again. This time she has Alister and Zip to help her find sword fragments her father was searching for. It starts with a cut scene of young Lara and her mother on an airplane in the mountains of Nepal. The plane crashes because of some malfunction, which leads of to Bolivia where Lara starts her journey.
Throughout the game there seems to be a change that wasn't in previous Tomb Raider's. Throughout the journey Zip and Alister are with her every step of the way via satellite. Also, Lara has a magnetic grapple which is highly useful as well as a PDA.
The antagonists which i wont revile because of spoilers was awesome. They were all evil. Muhahaha!!
My personal opinion is that this was the best Tomb Raider ever. The storyline kept you going for more. Zip was great comic relief to the ever serious Lara. Alister was the genius who had a comment on heights and flips that Lara did. The terrain was very diverse, from the warm temperatures of Peru to cold snowy mountains in Nepal, from the nightlife of Japan to the KGB laboratory of Kazakhstan. A gamers only qualm might be that it was too easy to beat. It wasn't easier per say, but i believe the game was kinda short.
Rating: 8/10
Replay Vault: Moderate high
Graphics: Huge step up from angel of darkness. She also has this cool slow motion matrix move she does.
Storyline: Very intriguing. Sword fragments? 10th century? Britain? Ring a bell.
Music: Nothing to be ecstatic about.
Pros: Storyline was awesome, Supporting cast was the best thing Edios came up with. Lara looks very attractive. Maybe its her butt.
Cons: Short storyline. Builds you up for the next Tomb Raider which was crap.
