Beat Other People's Children, The Mike Pearl Way!
So yeah, Michael Pearl.
He's a Tennessee man who runs No Greater Joy Ministries, a Christian ministry with a strong focus on child rearing and raising.
Now, don't get me wrong here, I'm all for raising children in a manner that makes them into obedient people, but maybe, MAYBE, this guy takes it too far.
You see, when I say REARING, I really mean BEATING.
I believe there is a difference between a spanking and a beating, and this crosses the line. For your consideration, some articles and pages from No Greater Joy:

Yes, beat other people's children. Beat them till they are no longer defiant.

Physical abuse? Of course not!
I found a pretty sweet site where they give a comprehensive list of great little quips from Mr. Pearl and articles from his magazine and website:

Now, don't get to thinking "Oh Sean, no one is crazy enough to do this! He's just another silly old man with piss and vinegar in his veins!"

Look at that shit.
FUCKING LOOK AT IT.
The only happiness I can possibly glean from that article is that they are being charged with murder of a child in California.
From what I understand, inmates beating, raping, and generally torture-killing child-murderers is part of the inmate code.
So, happy trails, Mr. Schatz!
Hope you like having your asshole stuffed full of penis and knives for the rest of your (short) life!
Here's the part where you, RSF, respond. Talk about it.

Some comments:
One thing is missing from the first story that makes a lot of difference: Did the blonde girl's parents give this dude permission to spank their child? My mother would babysit children a lot when I was growing up, but she would never spank the other child unless given consent by the child's parents.
As for the second story, where's the rest of it? He says that it seems like abuse, but he doesn't find it likely in the case of this parent. And then it cuts off.
There is some crazy shit here. Grounding a kid from sweets for eating a twinkie after being told not to seems simple enough, but he encourages eating sweets in front of the child to make it worse. WTF? And where the parents didn't take their kid to the doctor? That's damn child endangerment! And my parents won't let me spank my younger siblings at all. And I'm 19. And I know for a fact that I was not mature enough to do so at 10 years old. And hitting an 11-month-old? Seriously, WTF?
You're right. This dude takes things WAY too far. It seems to be more indicative of a touch of sadism than any desire to raise a child right.
And as cruel as it sounds, I hope the Schatz get everything that comes with being a child killer. The rapes and beatings at the hands of the inmates is what they deserve.

I got spankings when i was a kid. The most important thing when you are spanking a child is that the understand why they are getting a spanking. Lots of parents just spank and don't explain.
Beating a child is wrong. Especially if they aren't your child and their parents did not give permission. This guy is taking the beating thing too far.
