Homepage/Webpage Request!

I don't think we have a section for this so I thought this would be the best spot. Anyway, my clan and I have a request for any gifted HTML-ists out there:

This idea has been around for a while but it has never been realised. However, we would still like =NF= to have its very own homepage where we can put:

* general information
* news
* our history
* current games
* Media (screenshots/videos/links to AARs)
* Link to our forums
* Maybe even a member roster/family tree?
* And any other stuff that would belong here


Now, we know that if we just ask this, nothing is going to happen. Making a site costs free time, and we know that free time is a precious commodity. That is why the person who makes us a fully functional and awesome homepage/site that we can update (we have our own webspace and FTP [probably] so we can add information ourselves), receives a 40-50 Euro Steam game of choice!

The current site links directly to our clan's forums www.nakedfanatics.com. Don't bother registering there. We've had a very malicious spambot attack and all new members need to be e-mail approved by an admin until we have our new security installed, which may take a while.


Anyway, the 'payment' would be any Steam game of 40-50 Euros. You need to have Steam though (free download) and a PC obviously. I hope there will be any takers. We've had this idea for a while but none of us have much site-building knowledge. :/

I'd do it for a legit copy of Modern Warfare 2 and the ability to put the site on my portfolio :-P

Alternatively you can check out www.clantemplates.com for some nice templates specifically made for clans.

Obviously I could do a much better job but building a site takes time and I have stringent quality standards (being a perfectionist sucks) which can delay things somewhat.

Thanks for both the offer and the site you gave us. Also, MW2 is EUR59.99, so we'd have to see about getting our share to you in case we go with a custom homepage.

Oh, that site is very interesting! Especially since it comes with all the coding. It's definitely worth taking a look at, and change the look of some of them.


We're going to take a good look at the sites offered by clantemplates, and see if we can change stuff around on those ourselves. Also, we're going to need to look at exactly what our account can hold in terms of space and how everything is supposed to work (our current admin is busy with uni so we're in the middle of a transition). If we feel we had better contact an expert, I'll PM you immediately!

EDIT: Also, to clarify: the person whose webpage we will end up using is the only person to receive the game. We're not so rich that we can get a game for everyone who makes a webpage for us.

haha no problem tbh I'd prefer whatever cash you can spare anyway :P Also I've got some VERY nice free webhosts for you to try out.

Probably the best one is http://000webhost.com which pffers 1.5GB of freewebspace and 100Gb of free bandwidth...along with some juicy extras like PHP installed as standard and free .htaccess.

If you have already have a domain and would like the domain set up on there I'd be more than happy to help you with that, also I can set up your domain (meaning your clanmembers could have email addresses like so: Clanmember@yourdomain.com) with free email addresses supplied by Hotmail or Gmail.
