Its pretty much the same storyline asfinal fantasy but instead of cloud the Zack survived... hes not the hero of this story though no no no, We are.

Appearance: He looks almost identical to Sephiroth accept his hair is a dark brown and is a little bit longer than Cloud's he has the same outfit as Sephiroth from AC accept without the sleeves.
Personality:Cold blooding will stop at nothing to accomplish what he was sent to do
History: Dave is a Soldier First Class he worked along side Zack in alot of missions until he decide to skip out on one, His brother Cloud died that day.
Dave could never forget that it was his fault his brother was gone from the world. Know he full of rage just waiting to explode.

It was a warm Summer day as Dave was in the main lobby of the Shinra building talking to a fellow Soldier.
"Hey so how is Second treating you"
"ahh same old same old dull boring missions" the other man replied
"Hang in there they will find something worth your time soon" he said laughing.
Dave stood up, walked a few feet and glanced over his shoulder
"I'm going to the directors office, to get an assignment"

Name: Saigmore Devies
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Side Alignment: Uhh, apparently good...
Personality: Saigmore is a villainous type of person, in that he holds no value on life. He is a part of a criminal organization known as Voracia, and the group specializes in drug trafficking and assassination. Their rival group, Tsunami, is very similar. The distinct difference is that Voracia worships Velius, whereas Tsunami worships Famfrit. Saigmore has a family, though, and ensures never to kill women or children.
Appearance: Saigmore has short brown hair, green eyes, and a slender body. He's well toned, and stands about 6'1". He wears reds and browns, generally lightweight clothing for easier movement during swordplay.
Weapon: Saigmore currently wields "The Sword Of Red Flames", which is one of three swords passed on in the organization. The other two are "The Sword of White Flames", and "Voracia Risen". The sword has high attack, and also raises magical damage. It will occassionally cast Fire, Fire II, or Fire III, depending on Saigmore's anger level. It has two linked slots, allowing for four materia, and one single slot, for a total of five.
Magic: I'm just going to put Saigmore's limit breaks here...>.>
Level 1:
-Red Flames of Velius
A fire elemental attack that hits one enemy with damage equivalent to how many of that enemy Saigmore has killed. Ineffective against human characters.
-Landscaper
An earth elemental attack that hits all enemies for mediocre damage.

Level 2:
-Hydrogen Cut
A wind elemental attack that hits one enemy at regular attack damage once for each enemy on the field.
-Mimickry
Fire raises and surrounds Saigmore's body, and two fire replicas are also created. During this time, none can attack, however Saigmore can still use non-damaging techniques such as items, curative spells, or support magic. When the copies are gone, Saigmore returns to normal.

Level 3:
-Smokescreen
Saigmore blinds, poisons, and slow petrifies all opponents. The opponent's regular immunities remain.

-Velius' Womb
Saigmore and his team become subject to Protect and Shell and each absorb fire damage for the remainder of the battle.

Level 4:
-Inferno
Saigmore casts the opponent(s) into the bowels of Hell, causing heavy fire and non-elemental damage as demons assault their bodies and spirits. The remainder of the battle takes place in Hell, and only when all members of one side or deceased will they be returned to Earth.

Materia list: Fire, Earth, Wind, Cure, Steal
Strengths and weaknesses: Saigmore has high attack and magical attack, as well as spirit, but has low speed and mediocre defense. Low luck, as well.
History: Besides what is already known, Saigmore is currently assigned to assassinate a member of the Tsunami who has the Ifrit summon materia. He is to present the materia to his superior, Blinde, who wields the sword, "Voracia Risen". Blinde works with Dr. Hojo, and together the two are trying to find a way to permanently mend a materia to a weapon, allowing the weapon and materia to grow an affinity together. Ifrit will be their first test, and is going to be bound into Saigmore's sword, "The Sword Of Red Flames".

Alright, I'll be using a character I used briefly in a one-on-one FFVII RP I did a while ago

Name: Enji Kujaku

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Species: Just plain ol' human

Side Alignment: In-between. He's a Turk, so he's arguably working on the evil side, but he's got his own morals and such

Personality: On the outside he's serious, focused on his task. Sociable when necessary, but doesn't go out of his way to be friendly with others. Inside he's desperately trying to find a purpose to his life (hyuk, hyuk, I love my emo pretty boiz >=D)

Appearance:

(Turk Vincent is so damn hawt. It's hard to tell, but I darkened the hair, lightened the skin, and gave his eyes a slightly golden-ish colour :P)

Weapon: He's a bit of a multi-weapon user. Despite the above pic I used, he's doesn't rely on a gun. He'll have a gun on him, but he relies on his blades instead. He will have various dart blades he throws from a distance, and a longer blade he uses in his hand. And just to top it off, he's got some decent close hand-to-hand combat skills ;D

Magic: He uses Materia

Materia list: Restore, Barrier, Time (so basically curative and support, no damaging materia)

Strengths: Agility and Evasion. He's quite the fast little bugger and he'll be able to dodge quite a few physical attacks

Weaknesses: Defense. If you mange to land a hit on him, he'll definitely take the full impact of it.

History: Enji Kujaku originally lived in the Slums, but after a AVALANCHE-Sympathizer set off a bomb in the area he lived in when he was 13, he was suddenly orphaned and homeless. Instead of opting to go to a local orphan edge, he quickly went to be recruited by Shin-Ra in hope to get vengeance against AVALANCHE. Rather than going with the path of SOLDIER, he instead followed the way of the Turk and quickly rose to be in the elite Turk group run by Tseng.

Here is my bio... I may have forgotten some things.

Name: "Sly Shyster"
Age: 22 (so he claims)
Gender: Male
Species: Goblin
Side Alignment: Chaotic Good
Personality: Sly is a lover of money and women. He often has a grin on his face. However, his smile rarely belies what he is really thinking. His conversations seem to be filled with sarcastic jokes and humour. He appears to be of humanoid intelligence.

Sly is motivated to do great things for himself. He has very little concern for other people's problems. He may be persuaded to help a lady... if she is beautiful. Otherwise, he's all business. Sly only seems to become angry if one attempts to cheat him of his money.

When the going gets tough (if Sly is forced to fight), Sly is an expert at fleeing from the scene.

Appearance: Sly is a goblin. His attire is different from most of his counterparts. Images of goblins:

Sly looks somewhat like a small humanoid. However, he has tougher skin. It is a bit darker than the skin of noted humans such as Cloud Strife or Tifa Lockheart. He has ears as large as his head. His ears taper sharply to a point. His head is small and shaped similarly to an oblate spheroid. His hands and feet are a bit large for his somewhat wiry and lithe body. His nose is conical and it is a shade of orange. His eyes are set low and are the colour blue.

Sly wears attire different from his Goblin Island counterparts. He wears a similar cap, but he does not wear boxing gloves. Instead, he opts to wear knuckles that look as if they are made of gold. His knuckles are designed to allow him to hold his staff while he wears them. They also serve as a fashion accessory. Sly wears an ornate green trenchcoat of sorts. It has numerous embroidered figures. He wears one golden earring and boots that look as if they have gold soles/toes and green leather that matches his coat. He opens up his coat to show an array of his wares.

Weapon: Shiesty Staff

Sly carries a seemingly golden staff with five materia slots built into it. The staff expands and contracts when needed. It is made of several pieces and has a button mechanism. As such, the ends taper to points. This staff can be used for stabbing as well, though stabbing is awkward. More likely the tips can be used as a weapon when the button is pressed to expand the staff.

His prices tend to fluctuate (they seem to somehow be consistently cheaper for pretty ladies), but he can get nearly any item. One of a kind items have a hefty charge.

I admit that I'm not too savvy with battle RPs, so can you explain how battles occur and how people will attack and what factors in them being hit or not? You did say you that you actually had things worked out for this RP, right Sephiroth? ;D

yes I have a Plan and also if you want to work something out with me send me a message or w/e and yes the battle system like

Dave launched forward blade sliceing the air as he flew toward blah blah

Blah blah saw daves attack but before he can react he felt the sharp edges of the blade dig into his skin

it works on that type of base's basically the other RPer decides if it is a hit or not but my char could also have gave a hint that ur going to get hit

Dave slashed witch such speed no one could have gotten away

But also when you decide you have to make it fair and not like dodge every attack be balanced.

As little thought out as that seems, Fusionist, that's how I've always seen it done. Based on how you made your character, you decide if you dodge, how much you take from the hit, etc, and they decide the same for their character. Generally, in RPBs that aren't within an RP, people will judge it on how well it was fought instead of who won, since who won may not accurately depict who the better RPer was.

Question: I thought you said that the FFVII characters weren't going to be a major part of this story. Maybe acting a little as NPCs or something, so why did you go after Aerith then? My whole post had to involve me meeting Aerith, and other characters and such X_x

I no they don't play a major part and this RP takes place 1 year after Crisis Core so the Turks and Shin-ra still want her and such and yea they arnt the major role but they can still be part of this roleplay

Oh, this takes a year after Crisis Core...So it's one year after FFVII would have originally started then, right? Since FFVII begins right after Crisis Core ends (I'll have to look up the Ultimania time line for the exact dates, but there probably only a few months between the end of CC and the beginning of FFVII).

Okay, I'm gonna nag you about the background info again ;D

So, as you said, this takes place a year after CC which is therefore also a year after FFVII. Zack has been honourably discharged from SOLDIER, so what about Sephiroth, Angeal and Genesis? I'll assume that Sephiroth didn't go bat shit crazy, but Genesis should be degenerating by now, right? Or have you decided to just make him a regular ol' 1st class SOLDIER that was developed the same way like Sephiroth and are therefore technically perfect like him?

There's probably tons more stuff to ask, but that's what I can think of now.

Oi, please carefully read what I wrote. I said FFVII begins after Crisis Core ENDED. Yeah, the beginning of CC starts 7 years before FFVII starts, but by the end of Crisis Core when Zack dies, 7 years HAVE passed >_>

So you want questions then? Alright, here we go:

When does this RP start exactly? How many years before/after FFVII?

How did Sephiroth get lost in the lifestream? Was it when he went crazy at Nibelheim and when Cloud throw him into the Mako pit?

And if it is how it originally was in FFVII, how is Zack perfectly alright then? He witnessed the icon of SOLDIER go bat shit insane so how did Zack not get killed or get turned into Hojo's test subject along with Cloud?

k so Zack after he got an honorable discharge cuz he went on the downlow and Turks + Shin-Ra never recovered his body he was marked MIA (Missing In Action)
So what else where they gonna do, So honorable discharge and he has been living downlow for 5 months until things cool down.

So why did Zack go "on the down low"? If you're saying what happens originally to Sephiroth (which is 4 years before FFVII present timeline starts) how was Zack still okay at that time? Or do you mean Zack hid at that time with Cloud since then?

and Zack is on the down low because Shin-Ra is looking for him, he knows there secret in niebilhiem he poses a threat to there reputation so they must eliminate him
