If I were to say something..

    SO!

If I were to say that I had it in my mind to host an RP, would anyone be interested? If I were to say that I never GMed an RP before and this would be my first bout, would anyone still be interested? If I were also to say that I am more than likely going to go with a Steampunk genre - of which I know little to nothing about - would anyone even still be reading this??

    Well, that's what I'm saying!
    Any possible takers?

As, again, this is my first pull at the reigns, I want to put out that I hope any and all who are going to say they are interested also have enough patience with me as a mother would a 2 year old. I'm not looking for a massive group - but all you lads and lasses seem of the most decent caliber, so I won't deny anyone should they still want a jaunt.

    Cheers!

I wouldn't mind joining such an enterprise. And don't worry about it being your first RP. The only way to learn is to do it, and I think your RPing experience is good enough to try this (and pull it off!).

And if you need any help or pointers or ideas or simply a shoulder to cry on, my door is (almost) always open.

I'm interested to see what you'll come up with.

Me is curious. More details please.

Pssh. I don't give a fuck. I'm in. My first RP was also the first one I hosted, so you have loads more experience than I'd had. Can't wait to have at it with ya.

To be fair, Doaj is a born GM.

But you have plenty of experience Roleplaying as I understand. It's about time you GMed. I may be interested, after you post the details. I'm sure you can give the set a unique twist.

and if you really are unsure about GMing, there's no shame in asking for help. There's a lot of good GM's on here, and Dew has even tried a Steampunk set on the site.

First of all, I want to thank everyone for their overwhelming support and, should we take on this endeavor, I that I do not disappoint.

As for the details, I don't have much on them as I would truly like to give a bit of free-range to you as players in my game to create the world and build it's progression. I will say that it's kind of like a 'grand adventure' sort of story where several people, quite possibly strangers, (or perhaps not, it would be your own character choices as to whether or not you would be acquainted at all, of course,) happen to converge at the right place at the right time to be whisked away on a journey they would never had dreamed, (or possibly only dreamed of.)

The timer has begun on the count down on the world's end. The question is whether or not you will be able to save it. Glory, Greed, Pirates, Legends, and Mystery abounds!!

If there are any questions, please ask. I will answer to the best of my knowledge. Also, I had heard Dew has some experience in Steampunk and I'm hoping he would be able to help me should there by chance be a question about the genre to which I know not the answer to.

I am, afterall, somewhat winging this run.

    Oh, you.
    You flatter me, really.

So, I've never been in a steampunk RP before. Are there limitations on what kind of enemies we encounter? Will they all be human? Will we have some awesome, steampunk robots and Gods? And will this be a modern world, or c. 1700, or is this in a completely different universe?

There aren't that many Steampunk specifics that I am aware of, except of course the whole 'steam power' thing. It's usually set in a Victorian-like era, but you could differentiate from that convention if you want to try something different.

If you feel there is anything to ask that I might know an answer to, I'll be happy to oblige. Until that time, I'm eagerly awaiting the OOC. I might try and revive one of my Empyreal Machina characters, if they fit of course. (it would most probably be Count, I think he deserves a second chance)

I'm down even without an OOC! An RP hosted by SS is one I'd be interested in joining. It may do me some good to be in a RP as a player, before embarking on running another RP myself.
