It's epic. I mean, game reviewers were all like "ZOMG SUX," so I didn't expect much from this game. But I got a lot, that's for sure.
Anyone have this and a Gamertag?

I found the control stick-mapped attacks to be cumbersome.
I played the demo and I didn't really like it.
I may try it again sometime, though.![]()
I thought the game had tonnes of potential but the developers were jerking off. Not a very good game although you should get it if it's for sale on the cheap
Dialogue was also a bit uninspiring, the story was meh and the loot system was pretty flawed since you could never get attached to the weapon or gear you were carrying since something a little better would be dropped five seconds after you had just finished setting up your current equipment.
The whole 'Human' vs 'Cybernetic' aspect of the game was just left at the way side, there is a great deal of potential for story there but it basically boiled down to what equipment you could carry and what skills you could have, that's it.
I did not care for the right analog stick being used for the melee attacks, the right analog stick controls the camera in third person games, that's what it's used for. The gun combat was also shite because the guns were not that effective and the targeting system was bollocks, so while you were chipping away the health of one of the horde an enemy would pop by next to you and suddenly explode.
Oh the exploding status ailments are also a big pile of poop since you can't cure them so you better hope you have enough health to outlast them cuz if you don't you will die...Oh death, there's another complaint.
Every time you die a bloody Valkyrie comes flying down with not a care in the world and lifts you back up to the sky, this whole process takes way too long and you can't skip it! Then your left back at a checkpoint suddenly with no penalty other than having to walk back to where you were last with Baldurs lack of speed.
If they had just spent more time on this game in the hands of decent developers then this would have been an amazing game, as it stands it's an ok-mediocre game that you might as well get anyway because by now it's really cheap and your paying for what your getting. They plan on making a trilogy of these games, I just hope they pull their pants up for the sequals so we don't end up wasting our time and money.
It's funny, because the conception of Too Human pretty much pre-dates the Boston Tea Party.
In all honesty, though, it started out as a supposed '4-disc adventure!' on the PSX.
Yea I heard that it started out years ago but either the developer fell through or they lost publishers or something went wrong and they pushed it back further and further. A bit like Duke Nukem: Forever...Except that Too Human actually existed whereas Duke Nukem will never arrive
It could have been so much more, though. It might as well have not existed. =/
On the subject of Duke Nukem... link.
Ah hah.

Meh. He makes some good points, but ends up as pretentious as they people he's mocking.
And that's on top of the fact that he un-originally ripped off Zero Punctuation. :P
It seems that nobody but us at out little cave http://siliconknights.net/ loved Too Human to death. Yes, the rendering needs to be improved. Yes, it feels like Disc 1 of a 4 disc adventure. But damn, so much work as been put in to this! The control stick gameplay is unique and keeps the gameplay entertaining. The game constantly encourages you to switch between gun and sword, even if you're berserker! The characters are memorable and are still fresh in my mind, as if I've just been introduced to them! The story weaves together mythology and technology seamlessly and creates mysteries and an urge to find out more! Stages are endlessly re-playable, whether alone or with friends! It encourages you to keep going, even after level 50, with the hope of stronger equipment and character carry-over to reach level 100 in Rise of the Giants, and 150 in the final game of the trilogy. Maybe you like to pick apart pieces. But I like to look at things as a whole.
