    Tekken series

Everyone loves or has loved at least one Tekken game. For me it was Tekken 2, but there have been 9 full Tekken games since the original was released in 1994, including spin-offs. The most recent game in the series is Tekken 6 or the update for it called Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion.

For me Tekken 2 was amazing because it had such great characters and, at the time, graphics. It's one of very few beat 'em up series that I've actually enjoyed playing, the others being Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat.

One of my fondest memories of these games is Martial Law. Tekken's answer to Street Fighter's Fei-Long, who is himself one of many beat 'em up characters based on Bruce Lee, has probably some of the flashiest move sets in the series.

    Necro'd much XD

    Anyway.
I've played the actual Tekken 3, Tag, Advance, 4, 5, and 6 games....and then the arcade versions of 1 and 2 through Tekken 5 XD
I don't really have much to say about 1-3 and Advance, since that was pretty much just 3.
Tag Tournament was okay. I liked that it had like pretty much every character in the series up to that point. But idk, the non-existent storyline made it kinda boring.
4, a few of the character designs bugged me for some reason. Heihachi 90% naked made me want to rip my eyes out, and Hwoarang was just ugly. Tekken Force was eh. I was pretty bad at it, so I didn't bother too much.
5 was considerably better, imo. Better designs and graphics. I liked that you could customize your character, but it was really limited as far as additional equipment went. The color changes were nice though. I also wasn't very fond of the Devil Within mode, as I'm pretty terrible with Jin, so I don't think I got very far on that.
6 was okay. Way too many characters x__x The story was kinda short-lived though. I ended up beating the scenario campaign in about a week, if that...not counting Nightmare Train. It took me forever just to beat that level XD I ended up getting lucky and shooting the boss off the train with the gatling gun... I like the wider customization factor, but usually the equips with the good stats I got were totally mismatching, so I was running around scenario campaign with a fashion-challenged character...it seriously looked like my Lars got into a fight with a rainbow and lost. Also, the bosses are cheap. I don't know how, but I did manage to beat NANCY-MI847J with my fail skills. Hate Azazel though.

The games all had their ups and downs. I don't know if I have a favorite.

As for the gazillion characters...I was never really able to grasp anyone but Hwoarang.
It made me unhappy that they keep changing peoples' moves though.

I loved Tekken 3 and Advance. I was a beast on the both of them. Gon was awesome. I kicked major ass with him. Also, I was always fond of Hwaorang. I miss that game.

I've never really played Tekken. Isn't there a bear?

Kuma is the bear in the first two, and then Kuma Jr., when Kuma dies. There's also a Panda.

    Re: Tekken series

I've played some Tekken 5 in various arcades around town. King is my boy.
He probably isn't the best, tier-wise, but I'll be damned if I don't play a dude that has a leopard head.
Also, the wooden robot. And the kangaroo. And the bear.
