I took the test and scored green just like the rest of you. Though most likely it depicts accurately the overall consensus of forum-going citizens, it was quite skewed to mislead you into choosing as you did. First of all, a Lickert scale is supposed to include at least five different positions from 'don't agree at all' to 'agree greatly' with an 'undecided' in the center. Furthermore, questions should be phrased in a way that presents the question as bare facts, no excessive words, no deliberately confusing questions.

Clearly this test was intended to generate green results making it a flawed test. However, this doesn't make the exercise pointless. In fact, its a great conversation piece so long as everyone agrees not to let their feelings get hurt by other peoples opinions.

Just in case there are those that don't know, Left and Right are Liberals and Conservatives. Generally Liberals seek change, usually often and sometimes radical whereas Conservatives seek little to no change. Then on the Libertarian/Authoritarian front, we're examining Government involvement. Do you wish Government stayed out of the individuals business or do you wish the Government had strict rules and watched over individual day to day issues?

Though I scored Libertarian/Leftist, I am actually more of a Conservative/Authoritarian. Though the hot button issues may be directed at Gay Marriage, Abortion and assorted American Freedoms, those aren't the ONLY issues at hand. While on one hand I would support the RADICAL change required for Gay Marriage and Abortion, I concede that the most effective way to attain this goal is at a slow and steady pace that is well regulated by the government.

So given the definitions of each, which are you and why?

I've taken this test before several times in the past. I believe I far bottom left hand corner. The analysis describes me as a anarcho-syndicalism/Libertarian Socialist.

I think it describes me as "Neo-libertarian?" Not really sure what the Neo part means, but I'm definitely Libertarian. I'm more Right than Left, but I was very close to Right, so whatever.

    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian

Sounds about right to me. Tera agreed that I'm an authoritarian, but she sounded a bit like she doesn't like that about me. xD That's where I stand.
