But yeah, anyway.

Thinking about the Pokéworld has me wondering if the developers will ever consider taking the games into a more serious route. From what I understand, Pokémon Stadium XD (or DX, can't remember) for the GameCube is pretty much a normal RPG with a more "serious" or, rather, more "engaging" story, but I couldn't stomach the game for more than two hours.

Yeah, Pokémon Stadium XD was one of the games that came out of the 3rd generation of PokéGames, which had introduced tag team battles, which this particular game capitalized on. There was a regular stadium mode, and there was a story mode, where you play as... some guy who's trying to stop some organization from doing something–I forget, you may have to Wiki it.

But yeah, the story was a bit more like a story unlike the handheld versions, where it's just "Gotta catch 'em all, and get all the badges! And maybe fight Team Rocket!" This one had like some crazy overarching plot that involved world domination or something, and from what I could stomach it was boring as hell. That, and I really couldn't get into it due to the fact that I knew practically nothing of the additional 150 Pokémon Nintendo had added to the roster, so I was pretty much in the dark.

Funnily enough, I'm playing Emerald which has all the same Pokémon found in Stadium XD, and I'm about 23 hours into it. (Srsly, It's addictive as hell!)
