wowza very nice work. Especially the animation is superb make more sigs like this we will all be in awe xD 10/10 greatness

Thanks dude.
I've been looking at it, do you think it needs a border? I'm not too sure myself, that's why I'm asking.
EDIT: With a sipmle, thin border:

a lot of sigs look way better with a border but some don't you just have to play around and find a border you like and a color that match's it or even helps the whole sig stand out. So just experiment.

For a contest on another forum I made a larger image (600x600) with a post-apocalyptic theme.
The first version was a bit too green to my tastes the text placement was way off.
V1

In the second version, I used more different colours but I'm afraid I might have screwed up on picture balance this time. Composition seems to be a tad bit off.
V2

So what do you think? C&C please, would be welcomed. Apart from one earlier piece, this is the first time I've done anything bigger than sig-size.

great job id say I don't like the red brush in the center.
maybe you can start using gradient maps for this theme I think black and white gradient sent on Multiply and about 45-79 opacity would make it look awesome.
Try it out some time great work my friend
-
Actually in the centre is not a brush, it's a radial gradient map set to hard or vivid light. I put it in to simulate a nuclear explosion and I'm definitely not taking it out (because the nuclear explosion is what it's all about
).
I will try and see if some other gradient maps make it better, and will play around with composition a bit more. The top-left bit seems a bit empty to me.

oh I see I thought it was a 300 pixel soft brush set on lighten. Guess I was wrong :P

Oh, wow, I really like the Code Geass graphic. I really, really should just go ahead and finish the rest of that series for chrissakes. I've only seen the last half of it. ;(

Made a small mini-sig (or avatar) for another forum.
V1: Not my favourite, I didn't really know what to do with the text, so I made it slide in.

After that I made V2: which I think looks way cleaner and better overall.

I also made it smaller to align it next to my sig on that forum.

Mother effin' Miles Davis. *Salutes.*
I love that piece, dude. I ain't sure if it's 'cause I like what you did with it, or my personal bias for Miles Davis' music. LOL. Either way, awesome work, dude.

Re: Aleister's Learning Curve
No animation this time. I made this signature because Battlefield 3 is coming out soon and I wanted to get back into photoshopping and signature crafting. I modelled this signature after the BF3 wallpaper and video trailers. These use lots of blue, with orange tones in it. I tried to make it work in this signature and I think it works out quite well in the end:

Any feedback?
EDIT: this is the wallpaper I based it on: http://bf3blog.com/wp-content/upload.../02/gi1200.jpg
