How To Spot A Rickroll

Rate this Entry
I've noticed a lot of Rickrolls going around lately, and it has really started to get on my nerves. It's an annoying, immature fad, and needs to stop. As such, I have a few pieces of advice on how not to get caught in the snare.

1. Check the link. If it links to YouTube, and yet you weren't promised a video, that is a common giveaway.

2. If you don't know what the link is, don't click it. Especially if it links to a random YouTube video, without you having been told what it is.

3. If a Rickroll was recently brought up, don't trust any links given shortly afterwards. These will be people riding the wave of an unfunny joke.

I hope this has been helpful!

I remember I clicked on a Rickroll link once and the window that popped up wouldn't close until the vid was finished Dx

Just to explain the joke of this to everyone, a lot of people on The Otaku were giving each other Rickrolls. I accused them all of being immature, and gave them a link to a "How To Spot Rickrolls" guide. Obviously, people would expect a Rickroll, so I pulled a reverse-rickroll on them by linking them to this. And then there's the link I gave, which adds a third level of comedy to it.

I agree. Rickrolls are getting annoying. Besides...this is infinately superior to the RickRoll.
