Web design is one of those jobs that you must be absolutely passionate about to love. It can be very time consuming, whether it be a work load from multiple clients, or because your clients have no earthly idea of what the HELL they want to do with their website.
For the past three days I have been scrambling with just ONE website, because my client has this thing where she provides as little information as she wants, and expects me to work my "magic" and concoct something magnificent. I'm being extremely patient with her, trying to get her to be more thorough with what she wants for her website so that I can do my job more efficiently.
Instead I'm having to code, and re-code, code, and re-code. I can't get things done for having to re-do what I thought I'd finished.
Again, I'm patient. My cell phone is off and I'd like to get it turned back on. So in this case patience is most definitely a virtue. But I'd much rather be playing video games and hanging out on the forums.
When it comes to design in general, designers have to learn one special rule: designing almost requires little to no creativity with a lot of clients. Clients usually want a design similar, if not exactly the same, as someone else's design. And that's frustrating as all hell.
And it only seems to get REAL bad during the holidays, man. Last year, like every year, was sweet right up until September hit. Not to say that I don't deal with crazies in the Spring and Fall, 'cause I do. Trust me. It's just that I don't have an influx of them until Fall comes around.STREEESSSSFULL!
Oh well. I'm going to get back to work.
I'm going to see if I can do some posting later on, and you guys maybe welcoming quite a few folks. I recruited a couple of dudes (I THINK). So... yeah. PEACE!
